Make an Impact on the Lives of At-Risk Children and Families

PHFC actively asks for gifts and grants to further our mission driven and innovative programs to care for at-risk children, youth and families in Alabama while providing healing and hope. Our primary consideration in the pursuit of charitable gifts is how they can benefit the individuals served by PHFC in the most ethical, accountable, and transparent manner.

If you are interested in learning more about making a financial donation to the Presbyterian Home for Children, contact our Development Office at 256-362-8284 or by email to info@phfc.org.

Ways to Give

There are many ways to give to an organization that means a lot to you and your family. Here are the variety of planning tools and options to help support the children and families in need at the Presbyterian Home for Children:

  • Mail a Check
    Send your check to:

    Development Department
    Presbyterian Home for Children
    P.O. Drawer 577, Talladega, AL 35161

Be sure to indicate if you want us to notify someone of a Memorial or Honor gift (don’t forget to include their address).
  • Cash or Gift Cards
Cash or gift cards can be the quickest and easiest gift for supporting PHFC’s mission. However, we recommend not mailing cash or gift cards. Please contact our Development Office at (256) 362-8284 or info@phfc.org to arrange a delivery or pickup. We always enjoy having our donors visit!
  • Donate a Vehicle
Help share in the mission of the Home by donating your used car, truck, van, boat, or portable watercraft and receive a tax deduction. We are able to sell it through an online auction with no fees charged and 100% of the proceeds go back to the Home. And we can come to you to receive it! For more information, contact the Development Office at (256) 362-8284 or info@phfc.org.
  • Estate Giving
PHFC accepts gifts made from a will or bequest, through IRAs or publicly traded stock, bonds, closely held stock, mutual funds or life insurance. After providing for loved ones, one final act of generosity is often made through a bequest in a donor’s will or living trust or as a beneficiary in a life insurance policy to provide enduring support for PHFC’s vital work. For more information, contact the Development Office at (256) 362-8284 or info@phfc.org.
  • Real Estate
Real estate can provide unique gift opportunities for a donor whether it has increased or decreased in value. PHFC may accept gift of real estate, including houses, condominiums, commercial properties, farmland, vacant land and rental properties. For more information, contact the Development Office at (256) 362-8284 or info@phfc.org.
  • Corporate Sponsorships
PHFC welcomes grants and gifts from the corporate sector, whether a large corporation, a small local company or company-sponsored foundation. Businesses often sponsor programs or events offered or presented by PHFC for the benefit of our children and families. For more information, contact the Development Office at (256) 362-8284 or info@phfc.org.
  • Fundraising Events
PHFC raises funds through many special fundraising events, such as our Sweet Home Soiree (signature dinner gala with silent and live auctions and entertainment), 5K run, clay shoot, concerts, golf tournaments and more. For more information, contact the Development Office at (256) 362-8284 or info@phfc.org.
  • Ask for Donations on Social Media
You can create a birthday fundraiser on Facebook to take donations for the Presbyterian Home for Children and share the ask with your friends. Go here for directions.
