Back to School giveaway is a hit in Pine Hill

The Presbyterian Home for Children’s mission partner M.I.N.D. (Mentoring In New Dimensions) hosted a Back to School giveaway on Aug. 9 for children in the Pine Hill community of Wilcox County.

It was a hot day that was packed full of love from volunteers with PHFC, M.I.N.D. (Mentoring In New Dimensions) and Mind Changers Inc. in Tuscaloosa who gave out backpacks filled with school supplies plus lunch and snow cones to area students.

The items were made possible by PHFC and the Alabama Civil Justice Foundation.

M.I.N.D. Director Brooks Thomas also surprised the Home’s CEO Doug Marshall with a plaque for his “outstanding leadership and devotion.”
