In 2021, the Presbyterian Home for Children (PHFC) made the strategic decision to pursue dual accreditation by both the Council on Accreditation (COA) and EAGLE. After four years of maintaining these standards, we have carefully reviewed our accreditation needs and objectives.
As a faith-based agency dedicated to serving children and families, we believe that continuing our EAGLE accreditation aligns more closely with our mission and values. Therefore, starting in July, we will embark on the EAGLE re-accreditation process.
After thorough consideration, we have determined that maintaining dual accreditation does not provide additional value to our stakeholders. Consequently, we will discontinue our COA accreditation as of July 1, 2024. We have informed COA of our decision and are notifying our stakeholders accordingly.
We remain committed to upholding the highest standards of care and service as we continue to provide hope and healing for at-risk children and families.
